Language Reader Use Suggestions

This document provides a description of the purpose and use of the Language Readers as developed for the Oral Language Development project. These readers are designed to support the development of oral language through the interaction with text.

My Family: Language Structure 1 - Simple Sentence

There are four books with this structure: A base book (LS1) , further practice books (LS1A and LS1B) and a book with transformational text (LS1T).

My Family: Language Structure 2 - Simple Sentence with Prepositional Phase

There are four books with this structure. A base book, (LS2), practice books (LS2A and LS2B), and a book with more than two laterals, such as transformation text (LS2T).

My Family: Language Structure 3 - Simple Sentence with Conjunction

 There are two books with this structure: A base book (LS3) and a moveable (LS3M). No laterals are provided.

There are two books with this structure: A base book (LS4) and a moveable (LS4M). No laterals are provided.
